Our Story
Welcome to Our Beautiful Life
Evelyn and Sierra Hairston are mother and daughter from North Carolina. Sierra was diagnosed with Relapsing-remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS) in April 2016 at 25. Evelyn, determined to lift her daughter's spirits, joined her fight against MS as her caregiver and now care partner.

They started a small greeting card business called Timely Fountain in June 2018, inspired by Sierra's journey of being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in April 2016. Evelyn encouraged Sierra to begin journaling to start her healing process. Sierra and Evelyn discovered Sierra's gift for writing inspirational messages through journaling. Evelyn always had a love for writing and encouraging people. Evelyn and Sierra count it a great joy when people purchase their greeting cards online, at a local floral shop, and at vending events. Timely Fountain greeting cards were phased out in July 2024 so Evelyn and Sierra could focus more on content creation and community engagement. Timely Fountain greeting cards are still given to special people and worthy causes. Their business slogan is "Enjoy Life and Breathe." Evelyn's nursing and Sierra's social work background inspired them to engage, serve, educate, empower and encourage people and their families dealing with chronic illness.

They were the MS and the Family Co-Facilitators at the in-person Greater Carolinas Chapter National Multiple Sclerosis Society 2024 Black MS Experience: Raleigh Community Program and featured speakers at the 4th annual online National Multiple Sclerosis Society Black MS Experience Summit 2023. The mother-daughter duo was recognized locally and nationally by several organizations, including the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, for their advocacy work and volunteer efforts in the community.
